This place is perfect for my presentation, lots of facts, and a lot of nice people, John Muir himself is a great person!
Good stuff cool guy way ahead of his time
Visited the museum as the end stop of our 4 day John Muir Way cycle trip from Helensburgh to Dunbar. The ladies there were so nice, friendly and helpful. They presented us with our completion certificates and made a bit of a ceremony of it. Finished off our trip so well and made it even more memorable. Really appreciated that after 4 days of cycling.
Really well presented exhibition tracing his life. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable.
AMost interesting place indeed. The story of John Muir is clearly presented in detail with pictures to add that feeling of knowing his roots and the family he came from, what life for he and his siblings was like, then when his parents decided to emigrate we moved on to his mighty adventures as an inventor then an environmentalist entrusting his legacy to be continued even to this day. All this and more for FREE! Well worth a donation on leaving the building. I would love to have known what became of the rest of the Siblings.
