Went to Dm Conversions today to enquire regarding some work on my car. Was advised that they will only replace parts that they have purchased as they are part of the Good Garage Guide. Irrespective of the merits of this guide the mark up garages apply to parts they have purchased on your behalf is one of the most egregious cons out there. For example I was once quoted from an independent garage 480(Not including fitment) for a clutch whereby I was able to buy exactly the same item for 110 directly. If they are concerned that the parts that you are fitting are not of OEM quality simple answer would be to get you to sign a waiver saying they are not responsible for any subsequent issues. The guide they belong to is not mandatory and it is certainly not in the interests of their customers.
As a contractor working away from home, the last thing you want is a problem with your vehicle. This is exactly what happened to me. After I had a starting problem with my Mercedes Vito , I looked toD M Conversions for help. The experience was very positive, they understood the position I was in and dealt with it in a very friendly and helpful manner. Highly recommended.
Highly recommended garage! Super friendly staff and amazing customer service. I wouldn't trust any other mechanics now! I recommend this garage. Second time I have been now. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Fair price. First time I went had a warning light on and Mr Ferguson did a free diagnostic test (which subsequently sorted its self out) . Second time to get new brake pads fitted.
