Great site Great place Fantastic walks by the sea. The only things that dropped it to four star are 6amp power and the toilet facilities. But don't let that stop you it's a great site by the sea.
Wonderfully warm welcome from wardens Peter and Christina. Beautifully kept site with good clean facilities. Our pitch could not have been better placed to take in the stunning views of the bay and the glorious sandy beach which was quite literally 20 metres in front of us. We will definitely be back.
We were cycle touring when we camped at Thorntonloch. After a hot, humid day, long miles and big panniers the site was welcoming to see. Location is stunning, facilities great, with nice clean, showers. Peter and Christina were friendly and a great help with advice on local food and attractions. Managed a 6.30 am dip in the sea to finish off a most welcome stay.
